Having made his debut with Spirit back in July of last year at just 16, Danil “Donk” Kryshkovets has quickly become one of the most feared players in the Counter-Strike scene. With already four MVP awards to his name, the most prestigious being the MVP at IEM Katowice 2024, donk is going head-to-head with both Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut and Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov for the title of world’s best player. To start the year, Spirit and Donk were in prime position, having just added Dmitry “sh1ro” Sokolov to their ranks, the Russian-majority roster had a monstrous showing at IEM Katowice, but has since slowly started to fade.
With results getting worse and worse, demonstrated by their last-place finish in Cologne, Spirit and Donk needed to have a good showing at BetBoom Dacha Belgrade Season 2, with many expecting them to go toe-to-toe with MOUZ for the trophy. To start their tournament, Spirit faced Falcons, who have recently found strong form. Even with said form, Spirit made quick work of the international quintet, breezing past them in two maps - 13-7 on Nuke and 13-11 on Dust 2. The youthful donk was integral across the whole series, averaging a 1.79 rating against Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer’s men. He made a particularly stunning sequence on the first map of Nuke, killing all five Falcons players to get Spirit to match point.
Let’s take a look at the skins he was using whilst he made such a skilful and important play. For the knife and glove combo, Spirit’s donk was using his trusty pair of Minimal Wear Sport Gloves | Hedge Maze along with an M9 Bayonet | Crimson Web. The Sport Gloves | Hedge Maze is a majority-green pair of gloves with a sporty design. This design has white stripes going down the gloves which provide contrast and cause the green color to pop. An incredibly eye-catching pair of gloves to say the least, fitting for the flamboyant youngster A pair of Hedge Maze gloves will set you back just over $4K in Field-Tested, a pretty penny for a pretty pair of gloves. His M9 Bayonet has a Crimson Web finish, which features a crimson web undercoat with black spiderwebs placed all over the design. A beautiful knife with clean animations too. A Minimal Wear M9 Bayonet | Crimson Web will set you back around $1.5K.
Throughout the round all five frags were found with an AK-47 | Neon Rider, which Donk picked up earlier in the game from one of the members of the opposing team. Interestingly, donk also owns an AK-47 | Neon Rider, but his is StatTrak™ Factory New and has four Team Dignitas (Holo) | Katowice 2014 stickers on it, worth around $25K each. The one used in this clip, however, is the default one, with no stickers applied and is worth a mere $125 in Factory New Slightly more affordable! This AK-47 finish is more than flamboyant, being the majority pink. The Neon Rider finish features a pink background, with areas of white and a deadly biker as the centrepiece of the design. This AK-47 finish is understandably one of the most popular in the whole game.
